Fraternal Battle - 2014

The 5th cricket encounter between Blessed Joseph Vaz College - Wennappuwa and St. Mary�s College - Chilaw was held at Sir Albert F. Peiris Stadium - Wennappuwa. Mr. Malraj Balapitiya,�CEO, SLT RAINBOW PAGES and Peo TV� was the chief guest of the opening ceremony and Rev. Fr. Eric Fernando,�Parish Priest of Wennappuwa was the special guest of the ceremony. Vazians batted extremely well and scored 262 runs for the loss of 7 wickets at the end of 50 overs. But unfortunately because of the bad weather the match was abandoned when Marians were 36 for the loss of 3 wickets in the 14th over. Chief guest of the awarding ceremony� was Mr. Nuwan Kulasekara� a brilliant One Day Player and a promising Test Player. At the end, both teams shared the joint championship.�
